Re: It's FRIDAY!!!

  • Other than the mass amounts of rain outside (and I forgot my coat!), I'm pretty pumped that it's weekend time- my last solo weekend in Newport!

Tonight: Cleaning out my car from boxes of stuff I brought down from Maine, finishing off my baby shower "Thank You" notes (I hope!) and chillin'!

Tomorrow: A lazy breakfast, a little prenatal yoga and off to Warwick to have our new carseat fitted and installed- it's a bit ridiculous how excited I am about it! Stick out tongue Afterward I might treat myself to a bubble tea and a long walk, then some more cleaning and relaxing at home

Sunday: I might take myself out to brunch, or make something at home, get a little reading in out in the hammock chair on the porch, and then I've got a massage scheduled at 1PM. The rest of the day? More relaxing!

  • I'm being total Debbie Downer about my birthday today. Birthdays used to be fun and celebrated and now is just another day. I got a happy birthday from Seth but no card or anything and he is working til 10 tonight. Abe and I are going to MILs for supper and she offered me two things for dinner...neither of which I like.

Tomorrow - I was hoping that Seth would plan something for us to do but it doesn't look like we are doing anything other than going to my father's for supper. I'm really looking forward to that.

Sunday - Father's Day. We are going down to Portland for him to run the 5k and then he wants to go to 188.

  • Today:  Hitting the gym after work and then doing a strength training routine at home.  Maybe some ice cream after dinner.  Rildey and I need to make a Father's Day card.

Tomorrow:  We thought we were going to fry a turkey at my sister's new house in Pine Point.  But that didn't work out so now I have a 15 lb. turkey thawed in my fridge, so I think we might just fry it at home, have a summer turkey dinner with cold salads for lunch and then make various turkey items for freezer storage.  Anyone have any good recipes that call for turkey but are more summery?  I have one for a turkey couscous salad, but that's it and I don't want to make soup or pot pie again.  We also talked about heading to Pineland Farms, but it looks like they only have walking trails that you can use for free and it may just be too hot for that.  Biking is $5 per day per person and given how unpredictable Ridley is with her bike riding, we may only be there for five minutes before she short-circuits.  I also talked about using some of our rhubarb in muffins or something, but I may be getting carried away with activities here.

Sunday:  Father's Day brunch in Portland at 11am.  Then we will probably head back to Lewiston and check out the new farmer's market.  I also need to pick up an ice cream cake for the dad.   Presentation of Father's Day gifts and card.

  • Shuga - Happy Birthday.

Tonight I am hanging out with all my boys, as DH is working all weekend.

Tomorrow I need to go to Sams Club and the Dress Barn to try to find a dress for a wedding I'm going to next weekend.  Then depending on if I can find a dress (there or the mall) I will hit up DSW for some new shoes.

Sunday, I might make DH a cake, otherwise going to my dads for a little while and then hanging at home with the boys.

  • It doesn't feel like Friday since Rebecca Black can't be seen on Youtube anymore :P That, and it's been a crazy morning. Walked into Caroilne's room and realized sometime during the night she threw up all over the place, wall etc. :( Poor babe

    Anyhow...

DH asked for this whole weekend to be low key with no plans. So, no plans except to relax and enjoy some family time. Just decide what we want to do as it comes along. Along with that, I've got some baking to do.

  • It has been a hectic couple of weeks and I am tired!  Once I do a little straightening up tonight and work out, I will be reheating leftovers and not doing much of anything!  Well, except for checking my e-mail a million times because one of my closest friends had a baby this morning and her husband said he may send pictures out before the day ends.

Tomorrow: Clean up and go to the annual Blues festival our neighborhood hosts.  Maybe go out for ice cream.

Sunday: It's my two-year anniversary!  Unfortunately, we've had a ton of wedding/new baby/graduation presents to pay for this spring so we don't have money to go out to eat a nice meal (our original plan).  We'll just hang out at home, go to the farmer's market, and cook some truffled lobster mac and cheese, sip prosecco and make chocolate mousse.  :-)

  • I am currently sitting on my bum relaxing after the last day of school... then I will continue to pack for camp and hopefully start getting some stuff out to the car... once DH gets home we will be heading to Portland to get some stuff for camp and to see X-Men since the ILs offered to take the boys for the night so we can finish up and have some time before the crazy start to the summer.

Tomorrow: CAMP!  We are going to finish packing up, get the boys and head to camp for the summer.  We need to clean up the cabin and get everyone all settled in then we will probably head to dinner with some staffers that are already moved in.

Sunday: We will take DH to breakfast for Fathers Day but then he has a meeting from 12-2 so I am not sure what else we will be doing... I will be doing more unpacking and cleaning while the boys are napping and DH is meeting but not sure if we might head to the drive-in or what?

Then Monday is the official start to summer vacation and camp season as the senior staffers all move in and we get the party started!

  • Tonight we are going to opening night of our friends new bar/restaurant in downtown Rockland.

Tomorrow, Rick is working all day so I have some grocery shopping to do and a few other errands and then its off to the pool to swim with Josh.

Sunday Rick has to work again and I think my parents are coming up (who knows really, they never call anymore) and I think Rick's parents might be having a BBQ gathering since relatives are up from SD and MI for the burial service for Rick's gram that passed away in March.

Pretty boring/lame weekend but oh well :)

Girls weekend! My 2 best girlfriends and I are doing a 30th birthday weekend (as well as a "last hurrah" before we all have kids- 1 has a 9mo old & the other is due in Oct).

We're staying in Portsmouth and hitting up Kittery & Ogunquit. Super excited for girl time!!!!

  • Happy Birthday Brianne!! I'm sorry it's kind of a Debbie Downer day/weekend. Is Seth just being a clueless guy? Should we throw running shoes at him?

I am so relieved it's Friday and even more relieved that I'm getting my hair done (fixed) tomorrow. I tried lightening it at home this week and that did not turn out very well at all - orange roots and the rest is still dark brown. It is just as sexy looking as it sounds. ;)

So that's tomorrow. Sunday I'm not sure. Matt is being indecisive about the 5K, and my family hasn't planned anything for my dad/grampy so I'm sure it will be last minute.

And I guess that's about it. I'm going to try and squeeze some yoga and a run in there somewhere.

  • Today: Sewing and getting ready for the Windham Summerfest tomorrow.  I'm taking a break might squeeze in a nap. Tonight BBQ with my family.

Tomorrow: Summerfest tomorrow with Reuse Zone.  Long day and I hope the rain holds off!!

Sunday:  Church and then Peaks Island for Father's Day brunch :-)

  • Happy birthday, Shuga!

    Working all weekend Sad

Tonight: I'm home for a little break in the work day right now (should be working out...am not), but I have to go back in at 5:00ish to check some new arrivals in.  Hopefully they are there by 6:00 and I can be home by 7:00, the latest.  Then, DH and I are grilling some steaks and I have a recipe for an eggplant and arugula crostini that I'm really looking forward to...I love summer dinner.

Tomorrow: Working allllll day.  The innkeeper is involved in all the Pride events taking place in the city this weekend, so I'm basically covering at work for him.  Hoping to be home by a reasonable time and maybe go out for an early Saturday evening beer on the water.

    Sunday: Back to work again.

Let's just say I'm really looking forward to Wednesday, which is my next day off.

  • Yay weekend!

Tonight we're staying in, maybe having a small fire if the rain holds out.  Tomorrow the boys (Bear & Titan) have vet appointments.  I'd like to return a pair of pants at the mall and start looking at starting a registry but whoa, am overwhelmed!  Sunday is wide open.

  • Tonight: My aunt is staying with us to break up her trip from NH to the county.

Tomorrow: Checking out parts of the Gardiner Riverfest. Getting a light fixture and a couple other things to prep for the electricians visit next week.

    Sunday: No plans

Tomorrow: Checking out parts of the Gardiner Riverfest.

I haven't heard about this. I'll maybe have to check it out if we head down to camp this weekend.

Today: Getting my butt un-glued from this chair at 4:00 and stopping at the bakery on the way home for a cookie and/or a cupcake. Going home, walking the puppy, dinner, Netflix. Nothing too crazy.

Tomorrow: Watching the weather. If it's reasonably nice we'll head down to camp and probably stop at the dog park on the way down. Then do camp stuff for the rest of the weekend. I really want to go grill out, go swimming and go out in the boat and read a book while DH fishes!  Some friends of ours may or may not be joining us at camp. If it's rainy though, we'll stay home and get some chores and stuff done around the house. I really want to start cleaning out the baby's room, as right now you could film an episode of hoarders in there...seriously!

Sunday: Supposed to be nice on Sunday, so if we don't go to camp Saturday, we'll at least head down for the day on Sunday.

  • This weekend ought to be good, especially given that we're starting from pretty low after I totally f'ed up DH's car last night when I rear-ended a pickup truck. Sucktastic.

Tonight: Getting PHOP (Portland House o Pizza) take-out, having beer(s), hopefully ditching the kid to bed early/on time and then watching either It's Always Sunny or Run, Fat Boy, Run from Netflix.

Tomorrow: James and I will march in the So. Maine Pride parade with TD mid-morning. (If anyone wants to join us, you are welcome- just let me know!)  The rest of the day will involved much laundry, cleaning, and straightening.

Sunday: My parents arrive to get another feel for our daily routine as DH and I keep cleaning and straightening, oh and PACKING FOR HAWAII!!!!!  Yeah, we leave on Monday and I am so ready for vacation.

  • OMFG! I'm so glad it's friday!  I've such a long week and today was horrible.  Long calls with cranky upset members is not my idea of a fun time.

Tonight:  We went to Red Robin and used my free burger (as part of their loyalty card program).  Still spent what we normally would have though, since we had to have an appitizer and I wanted to try their new apple dessert.  Yummy though and it was nice to get out of the house.  Putting Taylor to bed soon and I'll be making the grocery list.

Tomorrow:  I'm making a pasta dish in the morning and then we are taking the dogs to the vet for usual preventive stuff.  One of my family members is meeting me at the vet so DH can take that vehicle home after the vet appt while the rest of us go to Poland to visit my family that is still out from California.  They are leaving on Sunday so we do need to visit some more.  I want to stop in Freeport but I don't know if I will or can afford to.

Sunday: always my quiet day but I think I'll be grocery shopping and cleaning.  We have to mow the lawn too. I think Monday starts 10 days of working straight...no fun but it's extra money and we could use it to get another CC paid off.  I'm just so burnt out

  • Did errands and grilled for dinner and now just relaxing for a bit before bed. DH is working this weekend (happy father's day- boo!)

Tomorrow Eli and I are taking my dad out to breakfast and to check out an open house/car show they are having at the Sanford Airport. Hoping to go for a bike ride or run in the afternoon.

Sunday we are going to my cousin's bridal shower in the morning, then no plans in the afternoon.

Only 3.5 days of work for me next week then it's summer vacation time (2 whole months!)
