Favorite places for decor & furniture?
We had a house fire 2 weeks ago and are having to buy everything again. I'm trying to look on the bright side and think of it as a second chance to redecorate my house once its rebuilt. Any suggestions on places to look at? Or blogs for ideas?
I'm gonna check out the decorating board too, but it would be easier to buy things locally so I can see the quality of what I'm buying.
Oh and it would probably be better if it was in the EV, but if its an awesome store I might make the trip over to the WV :-)

Re: Favorite places for decor & furniture?
First, I'm so sorry about your home and I really hope everyone is okay!
I'm not familiar with many local boutique-type stores, but when I moved I did the majority of my shopping for decor at Home Goods, Hobby Lobby and Kirkland Home Accents. They had a large variety of styles and were very reasonably priced!
I also LOVE Ikea. All of the large furniture in our home (except for our couch) is from Ikea. It's a good thing it isn't closer to us or I would probably be there once a week at least.
I think it kind of depends on your taste but Z Gallerie (Val Vista and Baseline) has some different things....Think more trendy but it also has the classic style, they do have furniture and tons of accessories. But I still love Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn for the more classic style.
We also bought a good amount of furniture from Ashley recently, but I would be careful, we have had nothing but problems and 2 months later still dont have all of the pieces.
I'm so sorry about your house fire. I hope you were able to save all of your irreplaceable items.
For furniture, I like Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel. Crate and Barrel isn't east valley, but their stuff is amazing and their customer service is impeccable. We had a dining room set from there and after having it almost 2 yrs, we noticed a flaw and they replaced it with no issue.
For accessories and accents, I love Kirkland, The Great Indoors, and Crate and Barrel. I would also check The Dump. We found nice rugs from there and saved a ton of money. I think they even deliver now.
Thanks girls for all the recommendations! We dont have internet at our rental house yet so I had to wait till I was back at work to respond.
Thanks for all the thoughts too! No one was home (happened at like 3pm) so we are all safe!
