We're home!

Hey ladies! I'm finally getting around to checking in. Thanks Shoe for keeping everyone updated. My water broke on Sunday right after I arrived at what was to be my last baby shower (I was the entertainment!). A bit of panic followed since I was four weeks early, in Slidell, and we couldn't get in touch with my H (he was outside cutting the grass). Mom and sister packed me into the car & we hauled tail back to BR.

When we got to the hospital I was having contractions every 2-5 min but not really in any pain and only 1 cm. Spent the next 23 hours in labor trying everything from walking the halls to a massive dose of pitocin trying to get little man out but never making it past 4 cm. One very fast c-section later and Evan was born. I can't imagine him being any cuter and he looks just like my H. He was very healthy for being so early and only spent a few hours away from us in the nursery to clear out a little water on his lungs. We're dealing with a very mild case a jaundice now but other than that we are all healthy and happy to be home.
