Yes, he's closer to 16 months at this point, but at least I remembered to schedule it! (after reading about Cambell's 15-month!)
He gained percentiles in weight. Woo hoo!! He was in the 30% or so, but now he's squarely in 50% -- at 25 lbs.
His head got huge -- 45 cm
and he's now 29.5 inches tall (I'm changing it to "tall," instead of "long" now that's he's upright :P )
He got a DTaP vaccination, and took it like a champ. Well, he had the silent scream of pain on his face, but within a minute was fine after I recited his favorite book. 6 hours later, he puked all over his teacher. They sent him home, but for the first time EVER said he could come back the next day as long as he wasn't puking (they have made him stay home for 24 hours after he woke up with eye goop for goodness' sake). They assumed it was a reaction. He puked again at home, but went down for the night OK. The next morning, I suggested to MH that he shouldn't give him milk, just stick to crackers and oatmeal. Apparently, Jacob "wanted" milk, so he gave it to him (mind you, the kid doesn't say "milk" or even have a sign for it, so apparently he and MH can speak telepathically). Anyway, you can guess the result. He stuck to crackers and water for the rest of the day and Jacob was great, except his entire thigh got red and splotchy, on the thigh where he got the shot. That lasted until late the next day.
So ... Jacob's first reaction to a vaccination. 1 in 50 vomit, and it's more likely to occur on the 3rd or 4th shots. I'm not looking forward to the next dr. appointment! MH was a champ, staying home with him that day and then I was at an OOT wedding that night and the next morning so he really earned his Fathers' Day appreciation.
ETA: I know I need to change my siggy! There is a pic I know I'm going to use, but I have to get on my laptop to get it up online.
Re: J's 15-month Appointment
Woo! Good job Jacob! Glad he's a solid 50% for weight!
So funny that they started out the same and are slightly different now. I always thought Campbell was a little short so I was surprised how tall he was.
Sorry he had a reaction to the shot
that definitely stinks! Yay for Thom for pulling through on daddy duty!

Yeah, she said to give him Benadryl to prevent the rash from spreading, but not for the puke. I was away Friday night, so I didn't see the rash until the next day, and Thom said that it had gone down -- so we didn't give him any. But I would have if I'd seen it on Friday!
