We meet through mutual friends. The proposal was pretty funny and SOOO us!
Back story: (tiny TMI) Saturday (the 28th) AF came to visit, I was miserable but toughed through the day. Sunday I woke up and was still miserable. We were getting together with his family Sunday night (about 15 of us) so I knew I had to do something, this is when I told him we had to go to Target to get Midol! We had DD with us so he asked his mom to watch her while we were out for a quick trip to Target and he decided at that moment how he would propose. (He wanted to surprise me and he knew that I knew him all too well and I would catch on to anything out of the norm. So, he planted the ring box in his pickup.)
So, on our way to Target and like we always do, we go down the list of what we need to purchase. (One of his fog lights on his truck had been out) So as we are going down the list, he turns to me and says, ?Hey babe, while I?m thinking about it I want to grab a bulb for the fog light that is out on the truck. Can you get the manual out of the glove box and see what bulb I need?? So, I opened the glove box, saw the ring box, slammed it and started to cry. I looked over at him and he said ?Amber, will you please spend the rest of your life with me?? I replied with, ?You know I will!? and opened the glove box again and got MY PERFECT RING!
At this point he reaches behind my seat and hands me a box of Kleenex and he tells me, ?I knew when I put the ring in here I?d better put these in here too!? Smarty pants!
Needless to say, I was the happiest freaking person in Target that morning!
RANDOM NOTE: There is an ongoing joke among the women in both families that it must really be true love if he proposed to me while I was PMS'ing!
