What's your favorite thing to wear? A favorite outfit?

I'm really a jeans & t-shirt kind of girl. My favorite outfit would have to be a pair of good fitting jeans, a cute top, and some comfy flats.

Or this dress that I just got from Old Navy a couple of weeks ago:

Whats your favorite kind of wine?

    Whats Ellies favorite juice?

    Whats Ellies favorite food?

    Least favorite?

Do you have anything planned for your birthday this year?

Do you think having a 1 year old, in general, is easier or harder than you expected when you became a mom?

What about mothering a newborn- harder or easier than the expectations you had going in to it?

I'm a white drinker. There's very few reds that I like. I think my fave is the Niagara we served at our wedding (Wiederkehr).

Ellie does not care for juice. She only drinks milk or water. Sometimes she likes strawberry milk as a treat.

Ellie is a great eater and loves all kinds of food. I would have to say her favorite food right now is blackberries. She shoves them in her mouth two at a time so I have to really watch her with them! She also loves breakfast sausage.

Ellie hates bananas in every form. I have tried repeatedly to get her to eat them and she always spits them out.

I do not have anything planned for my birthday (one month from today!). Guy says he's taking me to a restaurant that we have never been to before. I am skeptical, and also a bit disappointed because I wanted to go to Joe's Crab Shack.

I think having a 1 year old is easier than I thought it would be. Sure, it's hard. She gets into everything and no matter how well I think my house is babyproofed, she always manages to find something she's not supposed to have. But the love I have for her is so tremendous, that even when she's a nightmare, I find that I can handle it a lot better than when I watch other peoples kids. It's very true that it's different when it's your own child. I think the hardest thing, the thing I struggle with the most, is not having time for anything else. I get very lonely on the nights when Guy isn't home and there's no friends around.

Having a newborn was harder to handle in the sense that it was very difficult to adjust to. I thought we would fall into a routine immediately and it would be all gravy after a week. This was not the case at all. But, it got a LOT easier when I figured out that instead of trying to be "perfect" and do everything by the book, I needed to find what worked for US. Once I did that, it got much easier.

If  you could have anything for lunch today, what would it be?

What's one food that you'd love to try but have never had the opportunity to do so?

    What color is your toothbrush?

Most recent movie you've seen in theaters?

    Most recent book you've read?

If I could have had anything for lunch today, it would have been some grilled chicken and a caprese salad, followed by a creme brulee. With a glass of wine to wash it all down.

I think it's called poutine? Fries with gravy and cheese. I guess it's a northern thing because I'd never heard of such a thing until I saw it on Best Thing I Ever Ate and I really think I could get down with some poutine.

    My toothbrush is purple.

The most recent movie I've seen in theatres was Something Borrowed. I very much enjoyed it!

The most recent book I've ready was Sweet Valley Confidential. I know, I know. I have been working on Jen Lancaster's new book, but it is VERY annoying to read on the nook because of the footnotes. I think I'm going to stop reading it and get it from the library. Also, I have copies of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played With Fire that Stees sent me that I've yet to read.

Whats one thing you hope Ellie will take after Guy, whether its a physical feature, personality trait, interest, etc?

Physically, I wanted her to have his blue eyes, but that didn't happen. Her are are dark dark brown like mine.

Personality wise, I hope she's as laid back as he is. Guy never lets anything get to him and it would be nice if Ellie was as relaxed and go-with-the-flow.

Guy is very interested in music, like I am, so hopefully she picks up that trait from both of us.

  • When will you be switching to the family cloth?  Wink

How many Diva Cups do you own?  Do you behave more or less like a diva when wearing them?

    Do you own a bedazzler?

What's the weirdest thing you've ever purchased for your boss?

Erm, the answer to that would be NEVER. You couldn't pay me enough to touch something my husband wiped his ass with.

I do not need a Diva Cup to behave like a diva.

I do not own a bedazzler. But, perhaps THAT would make me feel more diva-like.

Hmm. I think the only things I've ever purchased for my bosses were food items. Jimmy John's Beach Club on 9 Grain with extra avocado, anyone?

I ask my husband this at least once a day...
