Day trips

Since I've graduated my Masters program and don't have a job/summer job, I thought taking some day trips would be fun!  DH works random days-sometimes he's off during the week, sometimes he's not, so I may go alone on occasion.  So, to avoid going crazy, me and the pups could do some day trips.

Furbabies won't always join me, but since DH will be sleeping during the day b/c of his schedule, it'd be nice to have them out of the house and not worry about them.

Recommend away!!!  TIA!

Re: Day trips

  • Congrats on your Masters!

I love Carmel and we used to take the dogs to the beach there many moons ago. I think there are a lot of wineries in Livermore..(?) That would be a fun day trip sans pups. I would hit SF for museums and maybe to try some new restaurants. I've been using Groupon as a way to try new places near us.

    Enjoy your summer!

  • If you're into hiking, you can take the pups hiking out by Half Moon Bay. Also you can take them to Fort Funston in SF--off leash dog park with lots to see!

  • We love the Monterey/Santa Cruz Bay Area.  My husband also has his days off in the middle of the week... so it really cuts down on crowds!!

We like to do geocaching, which helps us find a lot more trails and things to do when on day trips.  It found us my favorite trail... The trail at Asilomar State Beach.

Since we're in the valley we also like to go to the Sierras... Yosemite, Hume Lake, Shaver Lake, etc.
