For those of you NOT on my facebook, check out the newest addition to my family!
This is Lulu Blue (AKA Sweetpea, Lulabelle, Baby Girl, Sweet Girl and Precious). She's a 3-month-old German Shepherd/Doberman mix who was actually rescued by Katherine Heigel's foundation! She is drastically underweight, has bortadella and is traumatized by her short life. However, she's already a complete mama's girl, loves to snuggle and is getting braver every day about playing with her "big brother" Koa (our 4-year-old German Shepherd).
I adore her. We taught her to sit in a day, and she's getting the hang of "off" and "out of the kitchen" already!
Re: We did it!
So much cuteness! Congrats!

OMG. I kept the fact that I was looking for a puppy secret, and we didn't tell Bryce until JUST BEFORE we went to pick her up. You could have heard his screech of delight from the moon!
She's got kennel cough and is a little exhausted from the stress of the transition, so he is a bit bummed that he hasn't gotten to play with her as much as he'd like to. But she perks up a bit more every day, so I'm sure we're not far away from "DAD, the puppy is in my room AGAIN!"
Koa is grudgingly tolerating her.
Last night he deigned to let her sleep in his kennel for about 20 minutes, and DH just told me that she climbed on top of him in his favorite chair, curled up and went to sleep. Apparently Koa just sighed and looked tragically annoyed.
