I know. We talked about that in the discussion down there. Passanie thinks (I suspect she's right) that it's a copyright issue.

  • That makes sense. I want to try her flank steak and skirt steak recipes!

and OH - you have to read Hungry Monkey by Amster-Burton (he's referred to in her book, Iris is his daughter) - so should your H.

    his bibimbop recipe is DIVINE.

  • Haha! I totally didn't feel that way until she got to the chimichurri -- but duh, that was the first vegetarian dish she wrote about.

Her blog has recipes. M, what did you think of the rest of the book? Or did you contribute to the post down below?

Edit: But you know, the more I think about that copyright issue, the more that doesn't seem right. I was talking with our former food writer at work who told me you could call a publisher and get their permission to publish a recipe. Who knows, maybe it's different with books. But it does seem odd that there were none.

The "romance" part of the book was also odd to me. Even the writing about the guy being sexy part started to seem forced.

My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.
