New entertaining e-zine

Here.

WDYT?

For me, the first couple adult parties are fabulous and very much my style.  After those, it reverts to the "folding conference table + brightly colored tablecloth + coordinating brightly colored foods + background banner" formula that's all over the blogosphere that's NMS.

Re: New entertaining e-zine

  • Eh, I've been subscribed to The Party Dress Blog for awhile and most of it looks like pretty typical stuff off the blog.  It's nice eye candy but there's very little that's DIY or set up from scratch--probably why it all looks so formulaic.  You're right that the first few pages are interesting and fresh but the rest is straight off their/her blog.

     Ditto.

Any other fave blogs worth sharing?

  • I agree.  I'm getting sick of food on skewers too.  There's no real food on those skewers and what 5 caprese salads?  That would never work in real life.  That and off-kilter pictures of one little piece of the party annoy me.  I want to see how a real party could work.  And yes, I realize it's supposed to be inspiration but some of us can't ad-lib.  We need the step by step notes.

These are the ones I subscribe to.  As far as "worth" it, some of them are better than others.

    Celebrations at Home

    Charm & Cheer

    Divine Party Concepts

    Eat Drink Pretty

hampton hostess (new to me this week, so not sure)

My Life - My Loves  (new to me this week, so not sure)

    Party Resources

Snippet & Ink (the wedding blog - it's good for table settings sometimes)

The Finer Things (a stationery company - good for color inspiration)

    The Party Dress

If someone else has others, please share!

I intentionally don't subscribe to the ones that are mainly conference table setups, so if you like that look, there are many of those blogs out there.

  • DH may be in town for the party if I do it on the 9th, so I'm going to try reeeeally hard to have pretty things done early for pics for you girls :)

And yay, then he can do the chicken! lol
