Will people remember the same side dish from a year ago?

It's looking like DH may be in town for the party, so I'll change who's invited and add in the people who are more his friends.  I had them over last summer and served Ina's corn salad as a side and they all loved it.  WDYT?  Serve it again or find a replacement?  It's a tasty safety (lol), so I'm hesitant to replace it with something untried.

I love get togethers where everyone brings something they are known for. It makes me look forward to the event even more.

Yeah, I think this is coming from your style of entertaining rather than what others expect.  Some people try something new for each meal, some people serve the exact same signature dishes over and over again.  I think you'll be fine to serve it again.

Make it again- if I went to someones party and they had a dish I loved I would hope they had it the next time I went.

And yes, it's a completely insignificant question in the grand scheme of life.  I just asked bc these people came to our wedding reception 4.5 years ago and dinner last year and that's it.  I'd hate for them to think "poor Matthew, his wife only knows how to cook one thing."  (I can get a little competitive about entertaining )

I would make it again AND make something new. That way if whatever new thing you try doesn't work out you know you've got a familiar favorite that people can go to
