Mmmm...this recipe looks cute and yummy!

I got my Family Fun Magazine in the mail today they had these cute Autumn leave cookies:

What you need:

Store-bought pie crust dough

peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, or jam and cream cheese, or walnuts and mini marshmallows (whatever you want to fill the cookie with)

Heat oven to 375

Whisk 1 egg & tsp. of water (set aside)

On a floured surface roll out the dough until it is about 1/8 in. thick and then use a large leaf-shaped cookie cutter to cut as many leaf pairs as you can out of the dough.

Spread about 4 tsps of your filling of choice on a leaf, leaving a 1/2 in. margin at the edge.

Brush the edge with the egg mixture - place second leaf on top and press edges to seal.

Brush the top with egg wash as well and sprinkle with raw sugar (I'm sure you could use colored sugar to make the leaves different colors as well).

Bake on parchment covered cookie sheet until edges are just beginning to brown (about 12 min.) Let rest on cookie sheet a few minutes before transferring to cooling rack.
