All this rain is really messing with my allergies and now I can't take anything for them.  They are really bad today.  I keep sneezing and I have use almost half a box of Kleenex. I'm so tired also.  I think I'm going to nap at my desk again!

Dana how are you feeling otherwise?

I bookmarked this list last month: http://www.webmd.com/baby/taking-medicine-during-pregnancy

It looks like Claritin and Benadryl are safe to take if you are miserable. :)

I feel fine.  Get a little sick to my stomach after I eat sometimes but other than that feel the same.  I'm so tired all the time though.  I went to bed at 10 last night.  Woke up at 7, took a little 10 minute nap around 8:30 and now I want another nap.  I usually spend my hour lunch napping too and then take another nap around 2:30 and then again at home before DH gets home.  I feel like all I do is sleep and work now.

THIS!  Benadryl just makes me really sleepy and Claritin doesn't do anything for my allergies.  I was taking Zyrtex but when I called the dr Monday for an appointment they asked me what all I was taking and the only I can continue taking is my prenatal vitamin and tylenol.  Everything else was a no-no until the dr could actually see me and talk to me.

OMG Brianna how rude can they possibly be.  I'm sorry girl.  I agree with you, it is your own personal preference.

Haha, no worries.  Their opinions (no matter how rude) don't bother me at all.  I'm very used to the international boards now.  I just have to laugh at seriously they take this.

I think you should get an award for even agreeing to be the mod of that board. I would have to be institutionalized if I had to deal with the wedding bickering day in and day out.

Haha, I ignore most of it.  I just look it over for any major people bashing or vendors.  I let them argue it out on their own.  But this wedding head table thing makes my eye twitch. I don't understand how ANYONE can get that worked up about anything wedding related. Who freakin' cares?  It's not your wedding.

My first trimester, I came home at 6:00 p.m. every night and told my ex-hubby goodnight and went to bed.  I will never forget our friends calling us up at 7:00 pm on a Friday night asking us over and he had to tell them we were already in bed.  I took a nap every day on my lunch hour.

You don't know what tired is until you get pregnant.

Summer, why did you switch BCP in the first place?  Just wondering.

Lauren, glad you made it through dinner!

We were talking about head table convos the other night--they have always cracked me up.  It started when I looked up at Deepthi's huge head table and it was totally empty.  My point is always, it's 10 minutes out of your life, do whatever, no one will care.

  • What an AW, Lauren.  I'm glad it was pleasant and it's over!
  • Regarding head tables I swear its like everyone has something to say about them or sweetheart tables.  We did a sweetheart specifically because most of our bridal party did not know eachother so we wanted them to be comfortable.  We got so much crap about it and then at the wedding while Matt and I are eating MIL came up and said " Are you guys going to just sit here by yourselves or actually entertain the people that came to your wedding" Angry

It would have taken everything I had not to say with a big smile "Actually, we were hoping you could entertain them with your sparkling personality" and then go back to eating non-chalantly.

That would upset me too!  We had a sweetheart table at ours and fortunately, no one said anything about it.  I would've had a hard time keeping my mouth shut in that situation though :-p

  • I loved our sweetheart table.    We got to eat first of course, so most of the guests were still moving through the buffet while we were eating anyway so we had a quiet moment alone together to eat.  Priceless.    When we were done we started moving through the crowd.

ETA: Furthermore, I didn't read the other thread but I don't see how eating at a long table is pleasant for anyone involved.... including WP and guests.   At our sweetheart table our guests came up to us and were able to talk with us alone briefly and hug us, etc.   If there was a giant table there they wouldn't have been able to.

    I can answer that.

We ate first, along with the WP.  Then the rest of the guests went through the line.  By the time we were done eating, we were able to stand and make our way around the room.  No one came up to the table.  Once dinner was over, the dancing started and we didn't go back to the head table.  I really enjoyed having dinner with my WP though.

The point is... you're at the table eating for literally 20 minutes.  The decision isn't life or death.

  • Holy crud.  I just got a call from my principal asking me to sit in on an interview tomorrow to interview someone for the position at the other high school.  It's great because it means that, if the person is qualified, then I don't have to worry about the other program and it might mean that I don't have zero period any more.  It may also mean that, for the first time since I started teaching, I may only be responsible for one school and not the five that I have been taking care of for the past five years.

It's also kind of neat because admin. (not my principal so much) thinks of me as a worthwhile resource.

I think it really varies from person to person.. I have 2 close friends who are also pregnant right now, and one swore based on her 1st Tri experience, she will never have another child because she was so miserable. My other friend says her pregnancy has been a breeze all the way through. I am somewhere in the middle there. In my 1st Tri, I was always tired too and just felt like blah/crap most of the time. This trimester, my insomnia has kicked up to an unbearable level. :(

Yes, it is.  I was able to visit with DH and my MatronOH and my MaidOH, along with the BM, just because they were immediately within ear shot.  Everyone visited with eachother beacause the whole group is close.  Their dates and s.o. sat at a reserved table, if they chose to.

This is what I'm happy about.  I can pee on a stick and get the same results they would so I'd rather wait and be able to hear a heartbeat.  It doesn't seem real to me yet.  I'm super excited but other than a missed period, sore breast, and tiredness I don't have any other feelings.  I can't wait to hear the heartbeat!  I know this may sound stupid but then it will feel real to me!

Actually, part of that is untrue. When you go to the doctor early they give you a blood test which will show your Hcg levels and can indicate whether everything is healthy so far. Even this early, they can still tell if your levels are normal or not.

That would've made me so mad, to get that comment! We specifically did the sweetheart table so we could eat quickly while people were at the buffet, then make table visits all during dinner. Still, even in those 5-10 minutes we sat by ourselves, plenty of people came by to talk to us. I'm like ... "we're coming by your table to talk to you soon, I promise!" I didn't know that so many people would think we were secluding ourselves, which we weren't!
