I feel like I'm forgetting a big one...

Re: CPW: Cable/satellite TV

  • My cable comes through my apartment complex. It's a DirecTV feed, but I don't have a satellite dish...I pay them, and they stream cable to my apartment. I'm not a big fan, but whatev.

  • Once our satellite contract is up, I think we might drop paid tv service. Except for some of DH's sporting events, all the other shows we watch are available online for free.

  • We luv our direct tv.  We had cox forever and ever and it was ridiculous expensive and our internet never quite worked properly.  We switched to direct tv - I think it saves us $50 a month, we get more channels, we get more channels in HD, and we have two HD boxes (Cox wanted us to pay an extra fee to have a second box).  We also have DVR which is included for free and we have never had before and we don't ever use but hey - if we want it - we have it.  And our internet is so.much.better.

I am not sure why it took us so long to switch.

We do have a dish but have suffered through two pretty large storms without any issues.
