  • Fun?! No way.  We're all about work around here. Just today I made DD work on a farm (aka u-pick strawberries) before she could have lunch! 

    I also like to make my child mow the lawn (with a bubble mower), weed the garden (pull up clumps of grass), and water the plants (pour water all over the flower boxes and porch). That counts as exploring nature, right? And I tell her to "use her words" when she starts to have a screaming fit...I'm pretty sure that counts as a vocabulary lesson.
