T&P Request

DH's grandma had a stroke yesterday. My BIL found her on the bathroom floor. (Thank goodness he lives with her). She is in ICU for bleeding on the brain because she was on blood thinners. They are trying to thicken her blood to stop the bleeding, and this may cause blood clots. Oh and it was her birthday too. I have not yet heard any new news about her today.

Oh No!  I hope they are able to get her bleeding under control and stabilized!  I will be thinking and praying for her and your family!

Oh, I hope she can recover swiftly. Jeff's grandpa has had a bunch of strokes, three major, and he's still kicking, and only the last one affected his ability to find the right word, so hopefully she will pull through with very small side effects!

Thanks ladies. I think she is supposed to be moved out of ICU today, or at least that was the plan. They have the bleeding taken care of, but they want to get her back on blood thinners so she doesn't get a blood clot, however doing this could cause the bleeding in the brain again. So I don't know what they are going to do about this. She also has swelling in the brain. MIL says grandma's speech is getting worse. They have already had a therapist in to see her since the left side of her body is paralyzed. It is sad to see DH's family go through this.
