What posts do you like best?
Feel free to tell me what you'd like... even if you've never posted here before!
Recipes?
Confession session/Good thoughts?
Open Letters?
Weekend plans?
Add in anything else you can think of!
Re: What posts do you like best?
Hmm...
I like the Open Letters. I kind of feel that open letters and confession sessions often can result in the same post being written. I like being able to extend good thoughts to those who need them. I have liked participating in the recipe sharing, but now have pretty much depleted my own go-to recipes and have resorted to looking up recipes just to match whatever theme.
I will continue to post the birthdays and anniversaries for the foreseeable future.
In the past, we used to occasionally play games... Mad Libs, ABC games, silly polls, PIP posts, etc. Those were always fun when you got a bunch of people to actually participate.
On my other board where I'm an admin, we have:
Mental Health Monday (for venting / complaints / etc)
Toot Toot Tuesday (people post things their accomplishments of the week)
Confession Session Wednesday
Open Letter Thursday
Flame Free Friday (free range of venting within reason and with respect, and no one is allowed to flame you if they don't agree)
Just some suggestions! I like the ones we had before the mass exodus too!
You're very welcome, Pam!
I live for food posts, let's face it ;-) I've learned my lesson on open letter / etc. but love sending other people some good thoughts.
Also love when people share kid ideas / concerns / questions because either I have the same question, will eventually, or maybe I can help with an answer/suggestion b/c I've been there already.
there's my 2 cents from someone who really, honestly still follows both boards ;-)

I miss the schedule we had before. Confessions sessions, open letters, the cooking club, etc.
Honestly, I stopped running the club because I was finding that, week after week, fewer and fewer people were taking part in the club. I was getting real tired of racking my brain to come up with a theme, take the time out of my day to "open" the club, only to have 1 or 2 people post recipes every week. Felt like the interest had waned so I stopped. I was also tired of "yelling" at everyone from time to time to get the fire lit under their asses. Sad...I absolutely loved running the club. Granted, I got busy and was late from time to time, but I still opened it every week.
what if we did the cooking club only once or twice a month? even when i didn't have time to submit recipes, it was still great to look over the new ones.
perhaps we could change up how we do the cooking club... maybe just a weekly "share something delicious that you made (or want to make)" without necessarily having a set theme every week. Just an idea.
