Re: Thankful Thursday
15 days, 6 hours, 15 minutes until DH and I are on vacation.
Not that i'm counting.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
I am thankful it is payday :-)
Also, thankful for a good night's sleep, my dad visiting this weekend, DH's doctor's appointment going well this morning, roof over my head, good job, DD being a joy everyday, and all my friends and family.
I am in a good mood today!
Dear DC,
I'm thankful there are generic, frozen, processed, corn-syrup filled waffles in the toaster oven right now. I can't fathom making a real breakfast this morning.
Achy Breaky,

These are great!
I am grateful that DS's transition to a new daycare went smoothly last week. We loved our old place and so far, so good with the new place. Hurray for good childcare!
I'm thankful that I'm wearing a patterned cardigan so that the big fat stain I just made is less noticeable.
I'm grateful I found $10 on the street yesterday.
I'm grateful I got approval for a temp to perm position so I can finally get some support in my new area at work.
I am grateful H has had much easier/smoother dealings the MCPS HR department than he ever had last summer, which was easily the worst summer of our lives.
I am thankful that I have plans to enjoy happy hour in 6.5 hours. I'm dying for some liquid happiness.
I'm thankful for what I usually have but don't right this second - a clean, comfy home.
3 houses in the neighborhood had ceilings cave in on them (nobody hurt, thank goodness) so we had all our ceilings reinforced, sanded, and painted. They estimated the job at 2 days and tomorrow will be Day 5 spread over 2 weeks that we've had all our belongings piled under dropcloths and fine drywall and/or paint coating everything else. Ugh.
I am SO thankful they'll be wrapping up the job tomorrow so I can clean up once and for all and go back to having my clean, comfy home.
I'm in a lousy mood today and not feeling particularly thankful... but I am happy that my stomach problems have cleared up in time for Fojol (the Indian food truck) to be near my building for lunch today.
Sorry if that was TMI.

I am thankful that we have a new car. I am thankful that I have a job.
(I am less thankful that I have to drive said car to Tyson's for said job, b/c it's been taking over an hour each way and I get stabby. But I am trying to repeat the above and remember that I am lucky, so that I practice being grateful instead of stabby.)
like soprano, i am trying to be more thankful and less stabby
i am grateful to my friend for sending me this article because it rings true (for me anyway) and made me laugh:

i am very thankful that we spent more time at wegman's than at my SIL & BILs house last saturday. and that DH has was just as weirded out by their friends as i was.
i am thankful that DH loves wegman's as much as i do and is totally on board for grocery shopping there more often
Did you hear there's one coming to Gaithersburg? To the Milestone shopping center, is what I heard.
I'm thankful that we had a mostly uneventful trip up to NY for the funeral this weekend, and got to see a lot of family.
I am thankful that my ILs are so excited to see us that they bought our plane tickets, plus a pack and play and carseat for DS so we can fly without a bunch of extra bags.

I'm thankful for having the means to put an offer on a home.
I'm also thankful that my dad got over himself and is attending my Grandmother's 90th birthday party. It will be the first time the entire family is together in at least 10 years!
i saw that on their site but i *think* gaithersburg is farther than lanham, no? since we'd just be doing zipcar by the hour, i'd go with whatever is the least amount of drive time.
I'm incredibly thankful for getting a last minute derm. appt. for tomorrow morning.
I'm also thankful for some fun things coming up- friend's wedding this Sat., college friend visiting next weekend, and vacation in 3 weeks.
