Phoenixville Farmers' Market
Is this a nice size market? I'm thinking about going this week or next and I just wanted to hear from some people who have been there.
I went to the Norristown farmers' market last week and there was one little table. whomp whomp.
Re: Phoenixville Farmers' Market
This is good to know because I was thinking of checking out the UM market too. Maybe I'll skip that one.
Lachute, I'll have to send her a message. Thanks for reminding me!
I'm there every weekend. It is the only year-round market that I know of. It is held below the Gay Street Bridge and is very large. Some of my favorite vendors include:
-Countrytime Farm (pork farmer): their bacon is amazing and she supplies the pork to the Vetri restaurants
-North Star Orchard (orchard and veggie farmer): mostly veggies now, but in late June, they'll start bringing stone fruits to market and then the apple and pear season begins in August. We belong to their fruit CSA. I recommend picking up a jar of their applesauce and/or Asian Pear Butter and/or their apple butter.
-Jack's Farm (USDA organic veggie farmer): this is our CSA provider; we get all veggies and eggs from them. In the winter they include a roaster chicken; I would expect them to have some at the market on Saturday.
- Birchrun Hills Farm (dairy farm): specializing in raw milk cheeses; I love their Birchrun Blue and the hubby loves their Fat Cat cheese. They also have some of the best Bockwerst and hot dogs ever!
-Charlestown Farm (veggie farm): my "backup" farm to Jack's. Their produce is always beautiful and they usually have some different items than Jacks. I always spend a few bucks with them.
-Baues' Busy Bees: (beekeeper): I get all of my honey from them. It is filtered, but raw.
- St. Peter's Bakery: great breads, both sweet and savory.
There are tons more vendors, but these are my regular go-to. There is always children's activities and there are usually 2-3 vendors selling sweets.
The website should be updated today or tomorrow with the list of vendors planning to be at Saturday's market. www.PhoenixvilleFarmersMarket.org.
Get there early.
THANK YOU! We moved to pville recently and have yet to visit the market.
I have tasted the cupcakes at my neighbors house and they are AMAZING! We had cupcake lollipops for our streets holiday party and they went like hot cakes! I will be ordering them for our next party.
I received my weekly market email last night. Click on the link for the list of vendors that will be present at tomorrow's market. BLUEBERRIES will be available!!!

I'm so bummed we are going to miss the berries, they are Brooks' favorite. We'll be there next week fo sho.
Oh and one thing that we love is the chicken lady. I'm not nearly as nice as erbur and remember their names, but we get our eggs fresh from her. Make sure you double check though another vendor is carrying eggs and a few weeks ago they had a special 5 dozen for $10, WHA WHA?!?!?!
Chicken lady is Mountain View Poultry.
The egg special was from Jack's Farm...their chickens have been in overdrive...we got 2 dozen in our csa share last week.
