Daycare Recommendations

So, I know I posted this a while back and no, I still have not selected a daycare for our daughter.  I know I'm totally behind, I'm totally stressed about it and there are lots of reasons it's taken me this long to do it (which I won't bore you with but those who know me can probably take a stab at it).

Anyway, I would love to hear where you all go, if you're happy there.  I am looking in Merrimack or North Nashua (nothing south of Exit 6 or 7) and am looking at both centers as well as in home daycare.  We'll sign up for 5 days a week but hope to only end up doing 3 days, and it would (hopefully) be in late March.

Thanks!   Smile

Re: Daycare Recommendations

  • Don't feel behind.... we didn't choose one til a month or so before he had to start!

    Good luck hun!

  • I've heard good things about Lisa's Tippy Toes in Merrimack.  We did a tour there and I want to say the price for 4 days ( we only needed 4 days) was somewhere around $200.   Its a place that Natalie can grow with up into pre-school and I believe kindergarden.  I would also recommend looking on craigslist for in home providers.  Thats how we found the place Brianna goes to. Email everyone that interests you and ask as many questions and do as many interviews as you need too before you are comfortable choosing one place = )  GL!
  • Email me at Moosemum@comcast.net

We started off at Kindercare on Continental Blvd...and didn't like it at all!  We really like the place we are now and so does Jack.

IMO...when I visited Lisa Tippy Toes I didn't let the set up either....IMO

  • I didn't like the set up in Lisa's Tippy toes either.  The infant room was just one small room that had the cribs in the same room where the infants played.   I don't know if its like that with all centers.. but I didn't care for it. = )   I also asked a lot of questions when I was in there.  I had about a page full and DH said that when I was asking the questions my back was turned to an employee who was facing the lady I was talking too.. and this employee was rolling her eyes at me behind my back while I asked all my questions.  I thought that was so rude and unprofessional of this employee!!  Just thought I would add that = )
