How did you react when you got your BFP?  It was so faint I kept squinting at it to make sure it was really there. DH is colorblind and I knew he wouldn't be able to see it, so I didn't say anything to him and went to work. I think I was in denial until I tested that evening and it was dark enough DH could see it.

What's your favorite song right now? I found this artist on Pandora called Boyce Avenue. He does a lot of acoustic covers of songs, and I love his voice. He does one that's a mix of Beautiful Girls and Stand by Me that gives me chills.

What's your favorite thing about summer? Ice cream. Hands down.

What's your favorite scary movie? I hate scary movies.

Would YOU eat a live octopus for $1000? No thanks.

Okay, what's the strangest thing you've seen in the ER? Man, this is a really hard one. Probably the strangest thing that's happened to me is when I had to catheterize this female patient to get a urine sample, and while I was doing the procedure she started singing to me about her cats. And everyone at the nurse's station could hear her.

How many bottles of shampoo/conditioner are in your shower? Probably 3. Two for me, one for DH (he uses pert plus 2 in 1)What's your favorite shampoo/conditioner? I usually use Aussie, but I've been thinking of buying some fancy shampoo and see if I like my hair better. I bought this styling cream from Living Proof and it smells like heaven.If you could have anything for dinner tonight, what would it be? Smoked salmon bites. Little potato fritters slathered in sour cream, dill, and smoked salmon. I could eat them all day.What's the first concert you saw? I've never been to a full blown concert at an arena or anything. Probably the first performance of famous people I saw was the Beach Boys at a 4th of July festival in Houston.

Do you hate fax machines as much as I do? I find fax machines to be intimidating and overwhelming and I avoid them at all costs. I get anxious that it won't go through or that I put the paper in wrong side up.What did you do before you were a nurse? Nothing really career-like. I was in undergrad when I decided to go to nursing school but I was almost done with my Spanish degree, so I graduated, moved to Ohio and got my certification as a nursing assistant and worked 2-3 part time jobs in nursing homes and home health care until I got into nursing school.

How do you feel about Tyson's job? Are you always anxious when he goes to work? (I'd have multiple ulcers if Jay was a firefighter!) I think his job is cool. Firefighters are hot. I used to get anxious when he went to work, but not as much anymore. I do keep my home page as the local news so if something big happened where he works (like a big fire or someone got injured) I would hear about it quickly. We also talk on the phone every day he works, and we always kiss goodbye and say we love each other before either of us goes anywhere. I will say, though, that I will NEVER watch any firefighter-oriented movies (like Ladder 41 or Backdraft) because the thought of something happening to him scares me to pieces.How did you and Tyson meet? The short and easy to follow story is that we met at a work conference in St Louis. We had seen each other there for 3 years in a row, but the last year he made his move and told me, among other things, that I was "devastatingly beautiful." He got major points for that one.What are his 3 best traits? 3 worst? Best traits: he's a hard worker, he's loyal, and he has a great sense of humor. Worst: he is sometimes reluctant to communicate his feelings on certain issues, he's an impulse buyer, and he spends lots of money accumulating things to start a new hobby, and then six months later he's on to the next one (the ones I can think of off the top of my head are learning the bagpipes, making beer, making mead/wine, learning the guitar, digital photography, and now we're on woodworking)What is your favorite holiday? New Year's Eve/Day. I like the thought of getting a clean slate.What is your favorite Yankee Candle scent (or any candle I guess)? I actually hate candles because I'm afraid of fire. I love how they smell but I won't light one. I only own one candle, which is a lovely lavender vanilla, that I only have because my mom's friend gave it to me at her funeral.What is your favorite flower? Daffodils.Who would you choose to play in a movie about your life? This may be a weird answer, but I'd pick Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey, if Mer left medicine to pursue acting. A friend of mine has always compared me to Meredith for years.

How many kids do you want? Probably 2. DH wanted between 3-6, but as an only child, I'm overwhelmed by the concept of more than two.Aren't you going to be sorry to miss that Disney Cruise? Yeah... not so much. I don't think it's going to pan out because as MIL said, "Where does she think we get the money for this stuff??" I like cruises, but I think it would be more fun to go if there were more children than just my nephew.Any intuition on the baby thus far? Only that I think it'll be a take home baby. How are you feeling? I feel very calm and optimistic. Well, relatively calm. I'm waiting for my Hcg level from yesterday to come back and I'm checking my email like a rabid fiend, but aside from that.Nail/ Toe colors? They're naked (gasp!). I usually leave my fingers naked because my nail polish chips easily and once it starts to chip, I have to chip the rest of it off. I really need to do my toes, though. They will probably be this cool purple color I found at Ulta.
