Been thinking about getting A a haircut. I really don't want to but her hair hangs in her eyes all day & she rarely keeps a clip in. I keep trying to get her used to it but she continually pulls it out. Its not quite long enough for a ponytail yet. I do not want her to have bangs. So is there anything i can do? Should i bring her for a cut or is she just going to wind up with bangs? ...also where should i go? I know there's that Tiny Trims place on 59 are they any good?

Re: Moms of girls
we've gone to tiny trims all of 3 times and it was fine. nothing spectatular, but the job gets done and my kid looks ok! ava's hair grew slowly up to this point - she could use another cut now.
without bangs, which i wouldn't do either, there's not much other than trimming it to keep it healthy and letting it continue to grow.
what about the wrap around headbands - would she pull that out too?
I'm actually having the same problem with A. She won't keep anything in her hair, hairbands, clips, ponies...nothing. Her bangs are in her eyes all the time and the back of hair is always a hot mess. It's also at an "in between" length where even if she doen't pull things out right away, nothing stays in too long on its own anyway.
I took her to Tiny Trims back in April, and just had them clean it up, trim her bangs...just so her hair looks more poilshed. It lasted about a week...her hair grows so fast. They did a good job, but like Mel said...nothing special. I think I may have someone just trim her bangs again, and every so often, and let the back grow out more until I can get a better ponytail in. Then, when she's older and will tolerate hairbands and clips more, grow out her bangs.
Ava's first haircut at tiny trims was actually just a bang trim - $5. she didn't have enough hair for a full cut but that blob in the front was the only thing growing!
Awww...but that's so cute!
