My goodness... Jim Riggleman just resigned.
Jim Riggleman, the manager of the Washington Nationals, who are playing their best ball in years, just resigned because he wasn't happy with his contract.
Here's the story
My team is scheduled to play the Nats for the next three games. I hope their manager abandoning them doesn't give them super "WE DON'T NEED YOU ANYWAY" powers.
I am flabbergasted! Any Nats fans out there care to comment?

Re: My goodness... Jim Riggleman just resigned.
I'm not a Nats fan, but I did read an ESPN article about it this morning. I'm a little torn about it - part of me it like, "Good for you, taking a stand and letting them know they're not going to jerk you around!" Another part is like, "Seriously? What kind of manager puts his needs first while a team is doing so well and then just peaces out?"
It'll be interesting to see how this whole thing unfolds. I feel bad for the players; I'm sure this is affecting them, and hopefully not negatively.
