I was up at 6am to frost the cupcakes (that I made at 10pm) for DS to take to daycare for his birthday treat.
How did I get to have a three year old?!
I love him at this age. I wish I could bottle it up and save all the funny things he says.
Re: Ah, randoms...
Aww! Happy birthday to him! Do you write down the things he says? My mom did that with us and it is hilarious to read the things we said when we were little. She encourages us to carry on this tradition which I definitely plan to do.
He IS super adorable.
I have about a week of staycation starting today. I have a long list of things I should do, but have a feeling I may spend a lot of it relaxing.
Nothing wrong with that! Enjoy
That is a great idea.
T has mastered his first sentence. Says it about one thousand times per day. "Go bye bye."
Aw, happy birthday to your DS. 3 is such a fun age. I wish DS would stay 3 forever, too.
I need ideas for things to do with DS after work when DH isn't going to be home. We always just come home and either go for walk, play in the yard or go to the nearby playground. I'd love to take him to Chuck E. Cheese but I'm afraid it is going to be crazy on a Friday night. Suggestions?
OMG! He is a talking machine! How fun.
Henry still only says dada and mama. Haha. My little late bloomer.
Wow 3?! Time really does fly, happy birthday to him!
DH goes in Tuesday for a driving test and his orientation with Fedex!! I'm amazed that he was able to find a job so quickly, and also relieved. I've been working night AND day to make up for the lost income and I am SO ready to just go back to my on call night shift. I've really missed spending the day hanging with DS.
GRKaters, I think frosting cupcakes at 6 a.m. gives you the superwoman badge for the day.
And he really is pretty stinkin' cute, I agree. A friendly little lad, too.
And you receive the superwoman badge of the month for working that kind of craziness! Wow. I'm glad to hear that you H found a new job. Great news!
freeburger - that is awesome!!!! Congratulations to your husband and your family.
Agreed. Also, so awesome that he found a job already! Yay!
My nephew, who is exactly 4 weeks younger than T, doesn't talk at all yet, but he can out-run and out-climb T any day of the week. That kid is crazy amazing when it comes to physical activity.
T knows a lot of words, be he' not very coordinated and steady on his feet...lol.
Freeburger - that is awesome.
GrKaters - what kind of cake?
Organic chocolate, with chocolate cream frosting (he told me he wanted "brown and brown") and sprinkles. He requested the sprinkles when he woke up at 7 and saw what they looked like.

Freeburger - So glad your DH found something so fast. That is awesome.
GRKaters: 3 is a wonderful age. DH &I have been talking about "baby gabe" which helps a lot since "teenage gabe" is a challenge most of the time right now.
Last night DH & I attended "The CanCan" at 25 Kitchen. It was put on by one of our clients and DH wasn't so big on the idea of going but I was able to get him to go and we had a good time and were able to do a little networking as well. When we got home DH told me that if he ever doesn't want to go to an event like that again to make him go. Yay for a small victory for me for getting him into a live social networking scene.
Does being grouchy 2 days in a row constitute a funk?
I was so tired last night, that I fell asleep with Willa in her twin bed while reading books to her. I woke up at 2 and came downstairs to my bed, and it took forever to fall asleep because Jim was snoring SO loud.
Then at 3:30, Willa came down crying because Greta the dog had just thrown up on Willa's floor. So I cleaned that up, while Willa went back to sleep in my bed with snoring Jim. Willa's room smelled like dog vomit and vinegar, so I slept on the living room couch. At 4.
At 6, Henry came out of his room, and climbed onto the couch with me.
At 6:30, he started crying in his sleep. He was having an awful nightmare about not getting jelly beans.
So tired. Jim took the day off to get a garage sale going today. I hate everything.
Sounds like you got no sleep at all. Which makes everything turn to crud. Hope you make a lot of money on the garage sale and that tonight you get all the sleep you want.
Ugggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Not cool.
Isn't he, though?
Thanks!

We were there too! I thought it was you but I didn't want to be random/akward and say are you Deeder?
We stayed for a bit and then got dinner at Hopcat. Is your office above 25 kitchen?
OH MY GOSH!!! Do you know someone at Hunsberger? I would have loved to meet you. Our office is a block away from Hopcat, on the corner of weston and commerce. I can look out on of my office windows and see Hopcat.
I don't know anyone at Hunsberger, although that would be a dream job for me! I got on their email list somehow and we decided to go last night at the last minute. We will have to meet up sometime.
