Hi, my H and I are visiting Geneva-on-the-Lake in early September to celebrate our anniversary. We're staying at The Lakehouse Inn B&B. Has anyone stayed here or have any suggestions on where to visit while in town? We're bringing our bikes and we love wineries. I plan to visit South River Winery (just b/c of the location) and Ferrante (maybe for dinner one night). Is there anything in Genva OTL left to see? When I've looked online it mentions "the Strip." I have no idea what is here or what it is. I'm hoping little shops. Is there anything you would recommend or can you tell me a little about the area? I'm from Northern KY and no one we know has been there. I thought I'd try out the Cleveland board for some help.
TIA!!!
Re: visiting Geneva-on-the-Lake
Wedding Website!
The firehouse winery is right on the strip. The food is just mediocre but the wine is good and they have a ferris wheel right on the lake, try to stop by around sunset b/c it's a beautiful view. The strip is right out of the 50s, think mini golf, arcades, and ice cream shops. At night there are some bars with live music. Hope that helps
You should visit Firehouse Winery at sunset, very beautiful and romantic! On Saturdays they have some live music at the bars and wineries on the strip, def worth a visit.
