We did it...
Through the wonders of the internet and a Power of Attorney 
, we just closed on our condo in Arlington, VA! First time homebuyers! Woo Hoo.
Ironically, our paperwork to extend our jobs just went through earlier this week and we're here through Mar '14! We were hoping to extend (otherwise we'd be returning this coming Mar (ie Mar '12)).
Sounds odd to have both stories in the same week, but their both way good news stories for us!!

Kare wins the prize! We're still hoping that my nephew will be able to live there. He just graduated from school in DC this past May and is actively looking for a job so he can stay. Really hoping it works for him b/c it would be a win for both of us (good place for him, great to have someone responsible to look after the place for us). Fingers crossed!
