Newport news area housing
Might be making a move for a job at CNU... Have young kids and want a nice area for our family...

Parts of Hidenwood, outside of CNU are decent. Not the best school system, but ok. Just make sure you're in the Menchville district. Newport news also has the highest property taxes of the peninsula.
I would also look into York County, much better school system and great neighborhoods. Try Tabb, Grafton or Dare. Don't look near the York middle school, there are some new communities popping up over there b/c there is land, but it's not a great area at all. Poquoson is also a nice area. It's within York county, but a separate town (I've lived here 4 years and still don't quite get how it works.)
Unless you enjoy living within an overbearing HOA, I would avoid Kiln Creek. Coventry isn't bad, but it is another large HOA managed community.
