Insignificant but fun: which desserts for the 4th?
I probably won't decide until the 2nd, so reply even if this post is older!
My aunt hosts 50 people for the 4th. I volunteered/she asked me to do dessert since baking is my specialty.
One woman brings blueberry cobbler every year, so there are no blueberries on the list. Invariably, others bring cookies or brownies, so I'm not concerned with those. DH makes vanilla ice cream every 4th.

Blackberry-raspberry pie
Raspberry-plum pie
Lemon squares

BTW - I always decorate/arrange my desserts (if possible) in a Peace Sign on these patriotic holidays. I do support our troops and pray (and vote) for the end of these ridiculous military conflicts and their quick return home.
