On Tuesday my dad had to put his dog, Peaches down. She was a cocker spaniel and had a melon sized tumor in her belly...huge.
He just called me and told me not to check on his german shepard, Roo, this weekend because he had to put her down yesterday.
They were both over 10 years old.
I feel really sad for him.
Re: Feeling sad for my dad
Oh man, what a double whammy. That's so sad...your poor dad.

Oh no! It's always sad to say goodbye forever to a trusted and loyal friend-- but two at once? That's just cruel!
Maybe some Abe smiles and hugs can help Grandpa feel a little better? Poor guy...
The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware; joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware. -Henry Miller
