NY/NJ ladies- apt ideas for BFF
Hi ladies,
I don't know if you remember when I mentioned Brenna (who just got engaged) was planning on moving to the north NJ area with her now fiance. She is now at the point of searching for apartments, so if you have any ideas that would be helpful.
She's an elementary ed major and still searching for a job so location is flexible (her fiance's job is a travelling north NJ area). Hoboken seems a little out of their price range at this point since she doesn't have a job yet, but they'd like to be somewhat nearby from my understanding.
TIA for your help!

Re: NY/NJ ladies- apt ideas for BFF
If she wants to be near Hoboken, the three surrounding towns to look into are Jersey City, Weehawken and Union City. Most parts of Jersey City are less expensive than Hoboken, she just has to be careful to avoid the bad parts of Jersey City (they are pretty obvious when you see them).
Just north of Hoboken is Weehawken which is more affordable and really nice, many places with views of the city. It's less expensive since there aren't the shops/restaurants that you get in Hoboken and usually its not that bad to get street parking there, unlike in Hoboken where's is practically impossible. Both JC and Weehawken have easy access to Hoboken and the city.
The parts of Union City close to Hoboken aren't too bad. There are some nice new condo/apt. buildings there right on the edge of Hoboken. Once you get past that it gets a little dicey.
