My sister is getting married in September and my mom is shopping for her mother of the bride dress. She lives in Hagerstown, so there aren't a ton of options for places to go there, but she will be coming to visit me in August and I'd like to take her to a couple good places where she could hopefully find something.
So far, all I can think of is Macy's and Nordstrom at Towson Town Center. She got her MOB dress for my wedding at Nordstrom but she didn't love it, it was just okay. I would like to help her find something she loves.
Are there any small shops in the Baltimore area we could try? I am open to all suggestions and anywhere in Bmore or surrounding areas is fine.
She is willing to look online too, but would rather be able to try things on before buying.
Re: Where can my mom shop for a MOB dress?
I remember seeing dresses at Davids Bridal, and I think a coworker got a dress for her brothers wedding (she wasn't in the wedding party) at Davids. Your Mom could check around on their website to see if there is anything that she might like.
Good luck!
Amanda Ritchey Bridal & Beauty. They are located off Bel Air Rd. in Fallston!

A lot of bridal shops have MOB dresses - my mom got hers at Juliet's (and it wasnt an especially traditional MOB dress, it was a pink silk suit.) Most of my mom's friends have gone to Claire Dratch in Bethesda but I have no idea how $$ that is.
Nordstrom has a lot of dresses that arent necessarily in every store, so you could always order a bunch, try them all on and then return the ones she doesn't like.
Could you take a road trip to King of Prussia while she is here? There are so many stores there, and it's one stop shopping for the big department stores. Nordstroms, Macy's, Penney's, Bloomingdales, Lord and Taylor and Neiman Marcus. All in one place! Makes it easy to see a huge selection. Unless your mom doesn't like to shop then I would avoid KOP and do as Becky suggested, order a ton from Nordstroms and return what she doesn't like.
