It tastes as good as boxed cake mix, brownies, and store-bought frosting can taste. There's still almost 2 tubs of icing between one cake and one batch of brownies. All of the cake still has frosting on it, just on the inside of the layer instead of the outside. And you don't really taste the sesame seeds at all, truthfully. You could leave them off if you don't want a kaiser "bun".
I'd say it tastes pretty good, considering I have no trouble with my coworkers devouring the thing this year.
I wouldn't post something that tastes like crap.
