Anybody plant flowers w/basil?
I love basil....and think it would look great also accenting colorful flowers. Has anybody combined the two either in a pot or garden? Wondering of basil is one of those ones that chokes out other plants....

I have a bed next to the house with a mix of herbs & flowers. I think it probably depends on what type of basil you want.
I have 5 basil types in there: a traditional italian (large leaf), a lemon (smaller leaves, bushy), purple (smaller, though one isn't doing well), cuban, and another that looks almost like a mini-boxwood.
If you want more info, I can look at the tags in daylight.

Basil is not invasive, and it does not choke out other plants. If you live in an area that frosts in the winter, it will die off. It's an annual.
