Re: How was your weekend?
My weekend was pretty low key. Friday night we just stayed in and hung out. Saturday we both woke up before 7am for some reason (grrr) so we decided to go to breakfast which was fun and something we never do. Jason had to work 11am-7pm on Saturday, so after he left I worked on putting together some video clips/pictures from our wedding which took me way longer than I thought it would. I then did a little shopping at Walmart and met Jason for his lunch break. Afterwards I went back home, finally finished the video, and then we just hung out the rest of the night. Sunday we went to see "Bad Teacher" (eh, it wasn't anything great. I think I only laughed out loud twice during the whole thing) then went to Chiptole for lunch/dinner. We came home, finished watching the O's game, then watched "Where the Heart Is" and went to bed. I didn't get to nap or read like I planned on doing but it was still a good relaxing weekend.
Ugh and then I started this week off by my cat knocking a cup of water on my head this morning...yeah that's a fun way to wake up.
Friday night was very low key. We had heavy rain, so I had to wait for a window to run out for a walk with the dog.
Saturday I went to a BBQ for a friend's birthday.
Yesterday was AWFUL! I woke up to what I thought was a squirrel caught in the chimney. Of course, Chris was away, so I was freaking out thinking it was going to chew threw my wall (I know, completely irrational). Turns out that $150 later, it was a bird. So, the many phone calls to get someone to come over just ruined the whole day. And, then, just as I was about to go to bed, the cat escaped with the dog, who was going out for her last pee. It took me 20 minutes to finally catch him. I was so angry at him and at Chris for being away that I laid in bed wide awake until about 2:30.

Thanks for remembering my block party:O) but unfortunately I didn't go.
I had bookclub on Friday and although only 3 girls came, they were some of my favs that I get along with well (considering this is only my 4th time meeting them); so we had a nice intimate bookclub.
While I had the girls over DH went out to meet friends; the girls left around 9:30/10 and surprisingly I was still feeling awake (after 2 glasses of red wine), so I decided to go meet DH and friends out. I took a shot by myself before I left the house b/c I figured everyone would have had plenty of drinks. I got there and was happy to be out. Some of the girls had this sweet tea drink so I ordered one of those and the bartender asked small or large. The girls were in a 16 or 20oz cup and I figured that was large...little did I know that was the small; so my large came out in a friggin mason jar! It was huge. We met up with DH's old roomate and his FI. I absolutely adore that couple so it was so fun to see them! (The FI lives in Iowa right now).
Butt....Saturday I felt like crap and although I didn't get sick, I could not get myself out of bed. Embarrasingly, I didn't get OUT of bed until 5:30pm! Eeek! Then I just ate some crackers and cheese and laid on the couch. DH went to a streetfest/concert with some friends I stayed home and caught up on RHONY.
Yesterday I woke up later than I thought I would have (10am), went for a run, went to the grocery store/Target and then sat out on the deck catching up with my sister, bf from home and friend (the bride in FL) and did my nails.
Overall, I kind of feel like it was a waste of a wknd! Stupid mason jar!!

Friday night was low-key, I had to go work at another store about 25 minuets away from home, and was not happy about it but you can't tell the owner No... it turned out to be a SLOW store from 1-7 I think I only had about 8 customers, so I got to read most the day and get paid to! so we did Mcd's chicken nuggets for dinner and watched yogi bear ( which wasn't as funny I hoped for)
Saturday I went to work and walked in to a hell of a mess from me going to help out the other store my store got left with just one person to work it and she the new girl so there was WAY to much to do for a Saturday... so when 4 rolled We were packed and ready to go. Got home and waited till about 530 or so when Mikes parents got up here to go out to the local brewery they wanted to go check it out after we told them how good it was when we for his birthday. So after a few yummy beers and onion rings and what not. we came home it was still pretty early but I hadn't been sleeping to well so I climbed in to bed at 9:00 like an old woman.
Sunday was a lazy day! I didn't get dressed to go do anything until 5:30. went and got some grocery fillers till we go shopping end of this week. then bbq some chicken up and did corn on the cob, and watched poltergeist, mike had never seen it. got to love old 'scary movies'. after that i went to bed to read for a while.
lol our headboard is flat on the top so I typically go to bed with a water bottle sitting on it, but last night I had a half cup of ice water left and figured I'd just sit that up there. When Bruce (my cat) was little he used to knock water cups over all the time but hasn't done it in forever so I figured I was safe). Low and behold, 6am this morning, he thought it'd be cute to knock it right over onto my head, getting me soaked along with the pillows and sheet. Funniest part, I yelled "What the f*ck! You son of a b*tch" (I'm not a morning person lol) and Jason, who was already up, came running into the bedroom saying "What's wrong? What did I do?!" lol.
LMAO! You'll never look at mason jars the same.
we had a busy weekend...Friday I went shopping with his mom and as soon as I got home DH started sanding our nursery floor, he worked on that for a couple hours and then we had pizza and went to bed. Saturday we got up and went to yard sales and to his best friend's to take a mattress set they no longer wanted for in our guest room....came home and set up our bed using their box spring and the cheater frames they gave us and he did more sanding...then we went to Walmart and Lowes for supplies for our floor and kitten and groceries for the week...we came home and tried to watch a movie but we were both tired and went to bed early again.
Sunday I went to church and then we had a concert for our community band in the afternoon. After the concert he did more sanding and I went to visit family who were in town for a family reunion.
Hahahaha! That's hilarious!
We did a whole bunch of nothing. Our only family outing was going to the hospital to weigh Carter. He's still 6 lbs 11 oz. I am going to go back up there this week and do a feed and weigh to see how much milk he's getting. The lactation consultant that was there gave me some good advice, too, that I'm trying, and I'm hoping that puts some weight on him. As much as I love that he's so teeny (because he won't be like this forever), he does need to put on some pounds!
Other than that, we watched The Dilemma last night (ok) and Just Go With It on Saturday night (we both really, really liked it). I also got a few naps in yesterday, and had a ridiculous amount of energy when Carter got up to eat at 3:15 so I didn't go back to sleep until 8:30 this morning (and only for an hour).
