Happy Monday, Ladies!
My tasks for the day include:
- Cleaning out the shower drain (I shudder to think how nasty that is going to be-- the shower *barey* drains)
- Sending an email to a charge nurse explaining why I am applying for a job even though I'm a new graduate
- Applying for a job even though I'm a new graduate
- Calling St. Mary's to arrange a payment plan for a bill I shouldn't even be paying but my insurance has decided not to cover, because it's sucky insurance
- Calling Unemployment to ask them if they can do direct deposit instead of this new-fangled Debit card system (how can I write a check to pay my car loan with a debit card?!?).
I'm not sure what's going to be the most exciting and/or rewarding project of my day...

My day started late because I am working until 11:30 or so tonight. I will be observing evening focus groups of older workers discussing the effects of the Great Recession on their finances and retirement preparedness. I think it is going to be sobering but fascinating. Otherwise, I'll be in meetings most of the day.

We were supposed to go to a playgroup, but I decided last night to just enjoy a nice morning at home .Good thing too since Caroline got sick overnight
DH is at his interview now. Come on Nestie Juju! This afternoon we'll either do something family related (or errands) or he'll stay home and paint and I'll go get a hair cut.
Monday = one day closer to the end of the week! Yes, I'm looking forward to Friday already.
Since the weather is finally nice, I'll be spending lots of time with Ali OUTSIDE today. She has been getting some awful cabin fever the last few days and won't stop barking at me, the cat door, her crate, and her toys. We already spent some time doing some digging, I'm pulling up rocks from underneath our arbor so that we can fix some drainage issues and lay down some brick pavers. As I dig up the rocks, Ali helps loosen up the dirt for removal later on.
This afternoon I am taking some "me" time to relax and read because I deserve it after an unplanned visit from the inlaws over the weekend.
I'll hopefully have at least another job or two to apply for today and may do some work on my portfolio to get it more interview ready.
How strange about the unemployment debit cards!
My Monday is looking okay. Work (bleh), then hot yoga if I'm feeling better (very sore, feeling generally icky), then cleaning up at home and watching The Stupid Bachelorette.
And I just looked at my lease and saw that yes, indeed, it is up on July 31st, so I need to figure out what I'm doing. I may be moving into my grandmother's old house but if that doesn't work out it looks like I might need to renew for another year in the shoebox. I'm a little stressed about it. I really want to move into the house as it has double to triple the space and would actually be cheaper, but moving on such short notice with family involved is tricky, so ... we'll see!
