this is really long - sorry
most of y'all know me so i am going to post a knot-ish type review of my sis' wedding.
rehearsal dinner - was a Ritter's in East Cobb. I can not rave enough about how great they were to us. The food was FABULOUS and the wait staff was super attentive. The owner's wife made this delicious dog themed groom's cake. it was the cutest thing ever! i haven't downloaded the pic i took of it, but if you are my fb friend, i hope to get it up tonight.
Wedding day-
i woke up super early to go get my sis some hot krispy kreme donuts - one of her FAVORITES. i picked up 4 kk hats and made us all wear them while we ate our donuts! (again - thus the pics on fb of me and my sis wearing hats. lol) the hairdresser came to my house and did everyone's hair. we sat around talking and drinking mimosas all morning. it was so relaxing and fun. our mom showed up and hung out with us as well. (some of you may remember that my mom and dad weren't able to really participate in my wedding because of my dad - so it was nice to have both of them at my house while we were getting ready.) the photographer showed up around 12:30 to start taking pics of my sis and us getting ready. we all did our own makeup and got many compliments. i was surprised! we loaded up my car with wedding dress and bm dresses and headed to indian hills cc. we all got dressed and got sis dressed. she looked gorgeous. we found all of the flowers, also gorgeous, and took pics. sis even had time after pics to take off her dress and rest and relax about 30 minutes before the ceremony started. ceremony went on without a hitch. the rain held off and we actually had a little shade! she cried the whole way down the aisle (and her now dh cried when he saw her) - it was too cute...and me, other sis and mom were crying too. sis could barely get through her vows as well. kinda cute at the end - the pastor did a very long dramatic pause when it came to the kiss part. sis' dh said "oh come on now. i've waited long enough!" definitely made everyone laugh! reception was awesome and food was really good! started raining during the first dance. perfect timing! there was even a rainbow and they were able to get a pic under it! sis and dh drove away in my dad's 32 Ford. Perfect ending to the perfect night.
Wedding - Indian Hills CC - very attentive and accommodating. it was really my sis' style
Photographer - Alecia Lauren - she was awesome! great pics already. knew how to speak up to get the pics done (with family, getting people out of shots), very creative! love her! you can see pics here - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Alecia-Lauren-Photography/42169535762
Cake - Gigi's cupcakes of Marietta - we had mini's done in hot pink, white and black. they were too cute! i loved them and everyone else did too. ended up being cheaper than most places we looked at. you can see pics here - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Alecia-Lauren-Photography/42169535762
DJ - Complete Music - DJ Mike - really liked him, not too cheesy, did exactly what my sis asked of him
Dress - Bravura Bridal in east cobb - sis and i loved them. they aren't pushy whatesoever. we were able to choose what dresses we liked, pull them, and try them on together. no one bothered us except to occasionally ask if we needed anything.
alterations - Linda G. - of course did a fabulous job!!! as always
BM dresses - David's Bridal - we really liked the dresses
Did i leave anything out???
