I just saw your question below. Being team green is what got me through - I was so scared to give birth but I was so excited to know, it lessened the anxiety. We were both really glad we didn't find out.
Re: *Autumn*
That moment Claire came out and the Dr. said: "IT'S A GIRL!"....what was that like?! I could cry right now thinking about how special that would be
THIS is the moment I look forward to. While precepting in Labor & Delivery during my last semester of nursing school, I was able to attend a delivery that was team green. The excitment in the room was present all day, just like with any other delivery, but once the baby arrived and the announcement was made, the excitement was something completely different than with any other delivery I'd attended. The intimacy and overall mood of the room was amazing. I was able to be the one to announce to the family in the waiting room and it was such an amazing experience. I want that for Rusty and I and for my whole family. I'm so glad you told me...now I'm even more excited!!!
It was awesome. They said to Tony that the baby was coming out so he stood up and looked over the curtain (yikes!) so he could announce it to me. It took a second for it to sink in and I got choked up. I probably would have cried but I was pretty zonked out on the table. It was just him and I at the hospital, so we didn't get to go to the waiting room to announce it.
