I was above the normal range but not in the "diabetic" range, so upon my request my doctor is sending me to have the two hour test done. I have to fast for 10-12 hours before it and they usually schedule them in the mornings because of that. Well, the only appointment I could get (to have the test done and results back before we leave for Hawaii) was at 2 in the afternoon when I called the booking call center. Thankfully the woman at the actual clinic was super nice and told me to just come in as a "walk in" and to get there about 15 minutes before they open and I should get right in.
I could use some serious vibes that this one turns out all ok. Apparently all my snacking on berries and watermelon (the highest sugar fruits) would be a no-go if I am still in the high range - that's what all my "cravings" have been
Re: "Failed" my GD test :(
Oh no! Lots of vibes that the 2 hour will go well for you.
I failed my 1 hour also, but passed the 3 hour. Don't worry too much :-)
Vibes to youuuu!
I too failed my one hour, but passed my 3 hour. My best advice is to bring a snack to eat when its all done -- the fasting plus high sugar drink made me dizzy by the end.

What are you looking at?
Thanks guys. I don't really know how they do it here, it sounds different. My number was 9.2 and I think anything over 7.8 she said is considered "high", but they don't get too worried unless you are above 9.2
We also don't have a three hour test, it's just a two hour. And I had to kind of ask her about it and if I should do it. She was just telling me to "watch my sugar intake". Kind of frustrating. I'm crossing my fingers that I just had a fluke high blood sugar that day for some reason.
That is no good
On the brighter side, I know plenty of people who have 'failed' the first test and then passed the second one.
I was the exact same way with my cravings. I craved nothing but blueberries and raspberries and ate either of the two every single day while they were in season. I would have been really cranky without them. Sending you lots of vibes!!
Oh man... that sucks. Sending some vibes your way for good results on the 2 hour test!
I really hope they can get you in early too. That would be really annoying to have to wait until 2.

That stinks that you have to go back. Hopefully you will get in sooner rather than later. I'm sure you will pass this time around! Good luck!
