Hiya darlin...
So glad my epic long post was of use! If you truly do plan a trip out to Cali before you hit up Europe, let me know! I only live here for crying out loud, and can recommend all sorts of awesome things for you guys to enjoy!
I'm biased, but seriously, it's a great freakin' state :-)
And it's great you and your DH made a deal about taking a big trip in the next five yrs, I'm telling you that saying it out loud makes it come true. You become accountable for your words.
Also, just PM me whenever you want to vent, I know how frustrating it can be to feel monotonous with day to day routines, and to itch for broadening your life with travel to places other then the grocery store, gas station, etc.

We've looked up some more travel information and did some quick calculations, and even though it will be hard financially, it'll be worth it. I put almost $300 into savings each month from DH's paycheck, so we're able to save up 4K a year. I'm sure we could think of some good places to experience with the money!
Ever since an aunt and uncle went to CA for business, they've been all about the family visiting. In fact, my aunt swears they're moving out there to San Francisco once Uncle retires.
We aren't making any real travel plans for this year since it's half over, but next year is a definite yes! Until then, DH and I are content taking a weekend trip to Destin and to then to the TN mountains. And we're getting ready for a 'big' move next week. We're moving clear across.... our town. Something to keep me busy, but still like thinking about traveling!
