Back to the DR we go.**UPDATE**

So last about 6 weeks ago or so we brought DH in to the DR b/c of a very low heart rate. Everything seems to check out ok now. Yesterday DH complained that his 1 year seemed plugged but he could still hear out of it and also that he had a headache and felt a little dizzy with it. He woke up this AM having complete hearing loss in the one ear. So back to the DR we go.

DH has always had top notch hearing like better than average. So this is really freaking him out and not having any insurance means we are very limited on what we will be able to do.

So I'm not sure how much more we can be given to handle right not. Slow heart, File for bankruptcy, fights with SS BM/family, fights in DH's family,  Losing the house and not sure where we will be living next. Is there a place I can go and deal with these issues before anymore find me?

Sorry for the last few rant/post I've done. Just need an outlet somewhere.

UPDATE:

Got back from the Dr. and all in all his ear's are fine. No fluid was found and ear drums seems to be working just fine. Dr wrote a scrip for a steroid to try for a week and then we do a follow up call. If it doesn't get better we will have to look at seeing an ENT Dr. DH is pretty frustrated right now with it. So we will see how the next week goes.

  • I have no idea what his income is, but take a look at this website: http://ohcgr.org/

Oasis of Hope offers medical services to persons who have NO insurance coverage (including private insurance, or any government sponsored medical coverage) and who also make less than 200% above federal poverty guidelines.

Thanks for this. We actually know the people that run the place. DH went to HS with their kids and hung out at their house growing up. We always have them in mind if we can't get to DH's reg doc.

If I happen to see my neighbor in the next few days (ENT Dr.) I'll ask her if she has any idea what might be wrong.  Hopefully though it's just a fluke!

Sad   I understand his frustration.  Seems like all of my medical problems start out with doctors taking the "wait and see" approach.  I know their argument is that other tests are more costly, but I don't usually care about the cost when it's my body and health on the line.

I hope he gets his hearing back quickly.

Or what she might charge. ;)

Haha.  She works for Metro Hospital, so I'm not sure she would know what it would cost to have a private practice physican look at him.  It's worth asking though!
