Today is a sad day

DH's grandfather passed away last night. He fell asleep at 8 pm last night, and his grandma could not wake him up an hour later.

He was a wonderful man and a great grandfather. I have very few memories of my own grandfathers, so for the past ten years Pop Pop was the grandfather I never had.

It's going to be tough getting through today.

I'm so sorry. But seriously, you made me really nervous when you posted this. Can you please just put something in the header that says "baby's fine" so I don' get too worried? 

ETA: This is exactly how I hope I go. Just go to sleep and don't wake up. I know he will be very much missed but to lead a full life, and die without suffering, is my dream.
