Confession Tuesday

I've had Stevie Wonder's "Part Time Lover" going through my head all day. That's probably what I get for listening to the "Big 80's Weekend" on 98.5 every weekend.

That confession makes me feel so old.

I'm so ready to go on vacation, and want to spend all my time researching stuff to do, etc, but 1. it's a really small, rural area and there's very little to look at/do, and 2. I'm from there, and pretty much know it all anyway.

i confess i've spent the better part of an hour reading a food blog and pinning recipes. this temp job is basically me sitting around in an empty office, and answering maybe 10 calls a day.

I confess that I've only been awake for an hour and am planning on wasting the rest of the day at the pool. Yay!

I confess I've had the grand ideas for decorating the nursery but I'm starting to get really frustrated and I'm about ready to just give up.  Why is it so hard to find cute but not really babyish fabric with pink, yellow, and purple in it?!?!?!

what about amy butler fabric? not sure how much you need...but you could totally match solids with the prints. AND THEY'RE SO PRETTTTYYYYYY.

maybe my bigger confession is I have no clue how to coordinate fabrics.  Say we want to use the colors yellow, purple, and pink (or gray).  How do I bring all the colors in if I can't find one fabric that has them all?!?!  I seriously suck at this!  H is dead set on painting three of the walls yellow and doing one accent wall purple (the accent wall also has a bay window so between all the windown molding there will actually be very little purple paint).  The glider we order is going to be a silvery gray though.  Why don't I make enough money to hire a freaking designer?!?!?

I confess that I want to go to Vegas really bad this year for some reason. I went every year for about 5ish years and got so burned out that I said I wouldn't be going back for a loooong time but now it's been almost two years and I FEEL READY. We've been invited to go with family and also a group of friends but I confess that I don't feel like going with any of them.

Grrl, that's why you have us! put together some boards (ppt, Pintrest, whatevs), and we will tell you what's up and our opinions on how to improve! (nicely of course)

Pick two colors to be your base and 2 to be accent colors. Maybe Yellow and Pink can be base colors with gray and purple as accents?
