I saw in your 10 things that you're fixing the grading at your house.  We have to do the same thing at the new house and have been weighing our options.  Is this something you and DH are doing on your own or are you having landscrapers come in?  If you're doing it yourself, do you have any tips that you've come across?  How many bags of top soil did you order?

I'd love to hear your thoughts :)

Re: *Barb*

  • DH is doing it all on his own.  I am leaving it up to him to get done correctly since I won't be able to help that much anyways.  Ours is only bad in certain areas and I think the plan is for DH to move the soil and me to rake it out wherever he dumps it.  He actually ordered several yards that are loose, not in bags.  The company is going to dump it in our driveway.  So I imagine that I will come home on Friday and see this big pile of dirt there.  Sorry I am not much help.  We honestly didn't even think of hiring a landscaping company because it seems kinda simple.

  • Gotcha.  We were planning on doing it ourselves as well but it's basically the entire house (except the front) that needs to be graded so we were just looking for opinions.

Thanks and good luck with the dirt pile!
