My First Place

I am watching it and it takes place in Southie. This moron girl- if she says, "it's so spacious!" one more time I will throw something at the tv. Nothing in 550 square feet is "spacious."

And I know the show is fake, and now she is having a total and complete staged meltdown over the cost of buying a condo in Boston.

Um. She hasn't even mentioned the property taxes she will owe every year.

I want to pat her on the head and say, "Oh honey."

Re: My First Place

  • That's funny! Sometimes those first-time homebuyer shows are way too annoying to watch. Especially when they're all "I really hate the paint color." Um, you're spending 450k on a house. Buy yourself a $20 can of paint. This should not be a consideration when making such a huge investment IMHO.

Hoarders was in Franklin the other night!

OMG the paint color thing annoys me too.  I know people IRL that are like that.  Friends of ours seriously took that into consideration when they bought their place because they didn't want to do ANYTHING.

  • There was a guy in Austin last night on the same show who was nitpicking the curtains. I was yelling, "They come down, jackass!" at him.
  • I wanted to kill her when she said "There's an open house? Oh my Gawwwd I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone!"

Did she not realize they can't just cancel a scheduled open house?

I know, was she not just so annoying? And when she said, "But, I feel like (the sellers) don't liiiike me, they can't not take my offer, that's not fair!"

Like the sellers care about her. Her friend had to tell her to take the emotion out of it. Ridiculous.

Okay, I'm done griping about this girl! LOL

my mom's sister is one of those people.  They don't want to lift a finger when the move into a house.

I hate watching those shows mostly because I get really jealous when people are looking somewhere that 200k buys them a huge brand new house.
