Annoyed

DH's deployment was supposed to be 12 months then was bumped down to 9... Since it wasnt official I wasnt going to get excited. DH's col is trying to get a promotion and having a 12 month deployment under his belt looks better than a 9 month (this is what I was told was the reasoning). So now I'm disappointed and frustrated. I'm sure there is more to the story but I could care less what the reason is, I'm still going to be upset about it. I promised myself that I wouldn't get my hopes up and I did.

Re: Annoyed

  • Aww I'm sorry. I've gotten my hopes up a lot before too :( Hope everything works out
  • I'm sorry that really stinks. I'd be annoyed/upset too. No matter how much we tell ourselves not to get our hopes up, we can't help it. Being military wives we are expected to be 'flexible and go with the flow' when its just easier said than done. Will we ever learn??
  • I try so hard not to get my hopes up, but I've come to the conclusion that I can't control my hopes. Even when I tell myself not to get my hopes up, I am still crushingly disappointed when it doesn't work out.
  • Im sorry :(  I know what you mean about getting hopes up. You can try SO SO SO hard not too, but it always happens to me..  Keep your head up
