Seafood Serving Sizes??

We are having 10-12 people over on Saturday and will be doing seafood but can't quite figure out how much we will need. We are doing crab legs, shrimp and fish fillets (not sure what kind yet). DH is thinking 10lbs of crab, 8lbs of shrimp, and then enough fish for like 8-10 people. Will this be to much food or do you think we would need more? TIA!!

Re: Seafood Serving Sizes??

  • That's a good estimation. You should be just fine. 8 lbs of fish should be 14 1 1/2in steak sizes...
  • We're doing a low country boil and are estimating 1/2 pound shrimp per person plus sides and plus sausage that goes in it.  I think you're estimate is fine, you should have some left over.
