I need to start going to more yard sales
My mom is an antique dealer. She specializes in toys from the 50's and 60's and occasionally the 70's.She bought a doll from the '70's the other day at a flea market for $10.
This particular doll sells for $1,500 on Ebay.

I like to think I have a better eye than the average person just because I grew up around my mom, dad, their antique shop and their antique dealer friends. However, I don't have half the energy or patience for it like my mom does! I've found some good deals though and have made some money over the years here and there.
My best was a set of dishes for $50 that I sold for $900....of course my mom was with me at the time and tipped me off to the fact that I could make some money if I bought them.
