Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin...
...into the future.
The year is halfway over. Can't believe today is the last day of June.
Make it a good one
Re: Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin...
OMG! I know! I feel like the last 6 months have been a blur. Where has the time gone?! I'm a little sad summer is going by so fast, but I'm also kind of happy because that means I'm that much closer to meeting our little girl!
My new bike.
It looks more vintage in person. You can't really see the handle bars very well in the picture.
I googled the reviews real quick before I bought it and saw that people gave it 4 out of 5 stars on average, so I went for it.
When I got home, I actually read the reviews and it seems like most of them were bad. Ugh. I literally had dreams about me choosing the wrong bike last night after I read those. How dumb is that? Haha. We went to about 10 stores, so I just want to be done with the search, but I have a feeling this one might be going back to the store.
This is the one I originally wanted, but no stores in Muskegon carry it.
Looks similar, huh? Ha.
I will have to buy it online and then put it together myself. That kind of scares me a little.
I remember the summer I was pregnant, I was so excited for winter because I had something to look forward to. This year? Not so much.
Wow, I can't believe it's almost 9. I feel like I just got here.
I haven't done anything <work related> either.
I also haven't done anything work related yet. Although, I did talk to my boss for awhile, if that counts.
Molly, congrats on getting a bike! It looks very cool.
I booked our resort in Maui last night. Of course, that couldn't happen without getting in a tiff with B. Nonetheless, I'm happy because I snagged a great deal. It was a "24 hour sale" on Expedia. This morning, the package I bought is up almost $200.
We received bad news this morning that a close family friend (on B's side) is losing her battle with cancer and her family is now gathering. Her kids are all around my age, so I keep thinking that it could be my mom, you know? So sad. I feel awful for her family.
Yay for booking your resort. Boo for a tiff with B.
So sorry to hear about the family friend. I know what you mean when you think that it could be your mom. And that makes it so much worse.
I like the bikes!
yay for the bike
Kasa - sorry to hear the bad news. My ILs are mid 70-80s year old. My parents are in their mid 60's so those thoughts way heavly on my mind.
Yay! I'm glad to hear that it's going well. It must be a big relief, I'm sure.
TH had plans with a friend last night (which I was totally cool with since we are going away for the weekend and will celebrate my b-day then). Anyways, I've been craving for KFC. I haven't had that in years. I figured it was my b-day, I would 'treat' myself. I know, I know...KFC is so bad for you. So I took the girls. I got them popcorn chicken and they didn't eat any. However, they had a few bites of my chicken
Poor Amelia, I think she experienced her first KFC cleansing last night. Four dirty diapers just last night. I could smell something when I checked on her last night, so I changed her diaper and that woke her up. Basically between 11 pm - 2 am, she was up off and on. Between 1 -2 am she was WIDE awake. I think she figured she slept so it was time to get up. She kept getting out of her crib...which means we are going to have to switch over to a toddler bed real soon.
"KFC cleansing"? Ewww!
Sorry to hear that neither you or Amelia got much sleep last night. That sounds like no fun for either of you.
Poor Mia
Kasa, I'm sorry about your family friend.
GVSU, hope Mia's done, and feeling better. Poor kid (and you, too). I hope your H's night out was good for him and his friend, too.
Willa just woke up. 10:30. I think a mile-long bike ride last night wore her out.
I seriously feel like Memorial day was like last week. I don't like how fast it goes!!!
D&M - Congrats on the new bike!
Kasa - So sorry to hear about your friend's family. :-(
And I agree with others - the year has been flying by. I feel like I the years go by faster the older I get.
The title of this post makes me think of bonfires in high school.
Kasa - So sorry to hear abut your family friend. What a tough time.
I need a strawberry jam intervention. I can't stop. I'm eating it three, sometimes four times a day. On peanut butter toast, on crackers, on greek yogurt, off the knife. I'm afraid of my withdrawal when all my jars are gone.
Willa has just discovered counting by 2s. She thinks it's pretty cool.
There's a baby squirrel that has been running up and down our pine tree all morning. It's so funny to watch.
The "laying deer" was back in my yard again this morning. She was just chilling. I busted out the binoculars to see if there was a fawn with her, but there was not.
