I love lemon and blueberry, too...I made lemon cheese blintzes this morning, with homemade blueberry sauce...mmm
I usually make my own birthday cake, as well, but it's always the same...chocolate layer cake with alternating layers of ganache and whipped cream, finished with more whipped cream and chocolate curls...
lastly, I have never seen anything like those ice cream sandwiches...I seriously have to consider those for the near future...two of the six people we are having over for the 4th are vegan, so they will be lost on them...I'll have to wait

I actually made your birthday cake when you posted the recipe a while back. I just cut the sugar back by quite...but it was Delicious! Good cake always makes me happy!
I think we have similar tastes in dessert. You may like this. I've been making it a lot lately.
