My 3 o'clock hour question
What are some of your favorite/most useful technology changes since you've been alive? (Other than the most obvious ones like iPhones)
One of my favorites is Pay at the Pump. I love swiping my card, filling up, and leaving
What a drag to have to go inside each time.
Re: My 3 o'clock hour question
Because I am an ancient 36...
When I was very little, I remember my aunt getting a microwave. It was a novelty. Ha.
I do not currently have a microwave. It wasn't included when we bought our house in March 2010 and we just never got around to buying one. My SIL was astounded that I warmed up a bottle for my niece on the stove top when everyone was over on Mother's Day.
Dude, I remember getting a computer, does that count? How about just the internets in general (thanks Al Gore).
For a less obvious one, digital photography. It's pretty damn nice to not have to bring a roll to the store to get developed.
You are the second person this year who has told me that they don't have a microwave! I was shocked when the first person told me, and now you too?! I don't even know how you people function...
Keyless entry and push-button start for our car. I never have to dig for my keys anymore.

I'm about to blow your mind. My oven doesn't have a timer, a window, a light and the knob for temperature control fell off. My cooking is really a crap shoot. But it is like a well seasoned cast iron skillet. Everything comes out awesome. It is a magic oven, I swear.
While I would like a microwave and a new oven, I want to wait until we redo the whole kitchen.
Yes! BTW, I do not have an iphone or Droid. I do have a microwave however.
I remember getting a VCR for the first time.
Digital Thermometer for cooking. No more guess if its done or not.
I couldn't think of one other than a smart phone so I'm stealing yours Juli! I used to take rolls and rolls and rolls of film to get developed.
